Apron Makeover
September 3, 2009 2:14 pmI had this apron from Anthropologie that my sister had gotten me. I love the apron but keep getting my shirts stained because there is no top covering.
So I took an old men’s shirt, a lovely Brooks Brothers one, and made a top portion. Sorry for the sideways shot. I’m lazy today.

That is a super cute solution! I can not wear a waist apron either. Unfortunately I just gave away a bunch of vintage aprons that would have been perfect for such a makeover.

Alexis, you and I must be on the same wavelength- I just finished making an apron! I have a half apron too that I love (also from Anthro and also a gift from my sister!) but always get my shirts messy. Great idea, twin!

I absolutely LOVE everything you have made! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful creations, you have given me hope for my own refashioning endeavours.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but I really need your expertise. I have posted an entry on my blog about my latest attempt at refashioning because I am in GREAT need of your ideas and help. I would beyond appreciate it if you could take a look and give me any ideas you can come up with.
Thank you! Please don't hate me for asking…:)
