Jewelry Love
October 22, 2009 12:24 pmSo a couple weeks ago I got really inspired by Anthropologies jewelry and decided to try to make some stuff. I made this first necklace with fabric, pearls, rhinestones and a vintage crown piece I had gotten.
I really liked the way it came out.

THEN- I went to Forever 21, which I haven’t been to in forever and I got all of these fabulous pieces!
Here are two mixed pieces.
This pink beaded one which I cut off the top layer because it was a little too much for me.
These two vintagey pearl pieces.
This silver and pearl chain necklace.
These two different ones…
And this extravagant turquoise and gold one.
And let me tell you- they were all under $7!!!!!!!!!!! I got a lot but spent so little and I’ve been wearing them every day. And now I say forget making jewelry and thank you Forever 21!!

Oh those are BEAUTIFUL!!! My sister has told me before about their jewelry selection, she sometimes buys the necklaces to re-make other ones out of. And I love the one at the top that you made! How cute! I think I know the one from Anthropologie that you're talking about, and I love it!

Wow! You read my mind. I was just thinking about making some of my own pieces when I was perusing the jewelry aisle at Michaels the other day (after spotting some a-mazing ribbon and pearl necklaces at antho and jcrew).
I can't believe these are Forever 21?!? I would not have guessed in a million years. I'm seeing great potential for pulling some of these pieces apart and creating custom work!

Ok, I totally love Forever 21 too, but here's my problem. After about a month or so the jewelry starts to stink. Know what I'm talking about?? Have any solutions on how to make that "cheap jewelry" smell go away??
