Refashion Workshop Success!!

November 21, 2009 3:42 pm

I just had the most amazing group of women come to my house for my workshop, and let me tell you- we had a blast!
Janelle, Sarah, Julia, Kirsten, Gabe and I had a great time together and here’s some of their finished products.

Janelle made this shirt and one more that I forgot to photograph :(

Aren’t those colors great??
Kirsten made this black shirt…

…and this adorable one.

Gabe did this one …

…with this gorgeous side detail!
Sarah made this dramatic red one!

I don’t know why I forgot to take pictures of Julia’s, but she came away with a shirt, a skirt AND legwarmers!!

We had a WONDERFUL time together! It was nice because in addition to the shirts they finished, they got to see what everyone else was doing and could walk away knowing how to do those, as well.
And we just had great women time together.

It was SUCH a success that I’m throwing together another one before the holidays!

I will be doing a FLOWER PIN workshop on Saturday, December 12th from 10:30-1:30.

I will provide ALL the materials for you to make at least 5 flower pins that you can keep or giveaway as Christmas gifts.

All you need to bring is your machine and I’ll provide many different fabrics for different flower pin ideas.

The cost for the three hour workshop, including materials, is $70. Remember, you’ll come away with at least 5 pins and with the skills to know how to make your own. They are perfect for family, teachers, children, yourself…… :)
You can put them on pins, headbands, clothing, bags, scarves… the list goes on!
I live in the Santa Cruz County area. If you’re interested in the workshop, email me for address details.

Have a great rest of your weekend!

That looks like SO much fun, and everything turned out so. cute. I especially looove the red flowers on the dark grey tee. Such a great combination.

I'd love to do one of your workshops; just one more reason to wish I lived in Santa Cruz!! :)

The workshop sounds like a fantasic concept! An opportunity to meet like-minded women and throw ideas around too! Any plans to travel down under (Australia)???…You have inspired me anyhow!.. I went to my local op shop (thrift shop)on Thursday and came away with two shirts for $4.50 to re-fashion. Will be posting my creations on my blog if you want to see them! I wonder if you'd consider a kit to order and instructions to with? The hardest part about projects is collecting a good variety of things to work with. I'd love to put it on my Christmas list!

The workshop looked like so much fun! I am Janelle's sister and I wanted to go but I live in Fresno now. Janelle will have to teach me all the tricks when I am home for Christmas! I love your blog, also :)
