Ways to Cover Stained Shirts

November 24, 2009 6:26 am

I went through the girls shirts the other day so frustrated by all the stains! So here are some ideas of ways to cover them up!

I did a draping collar and added these silk rosettes on a removable pin.

While getting this one to photograph, Giselle dumped chocolate milk all over it. So here it is, stains and all!

It’s a big flower in a silvery/white fabric. It’s sort of like my Marjorie top!

A simple silk bow.

Brown on brown jersey ruffles.

And, finally, a dusty pink draping neckline with a little jersey bow.
Now they’re good as new!!

Those all look great! Got any ideas for boys stained shirts? IT's my son who could stand a lesson or two in eating over the plate, not into his lap ;) xx

You are so generous with your talents!!! I don't know if it's something you've thought about, but if you added a tip jar to this blog, I know I would contribute!!! (www.indietutes.blogspot.com has an example)

BTW, any ideas for refashioning shirts in such a way that you make them longer? I'm tall and after a few washings, a lot of my cotton/jersey shirts shrink to a Britney Spears style. :)

Ha! I am actually doing this tonight with a white shirt that was quickly stained. Total bummer! but at least I can still get some wear out of it!
