I’m a Copy Cat
December 11, 2009 9:29 amWhen I saw Jessica’s trees at Oh So Happy Together, I HAD to make them. They are so whimsical and colorful! Mine didn’t turn out half as cute…
… but here’s my version.
… but here’s my version.I used some alternating cottons in the same color tones.
Now here’s my question. I really want to make some little scene out of this, like a little enchanted forest with characters or some other props. I need ideas. Anyone have any thoughts??

They look very whoville-ish. Some cute little characters like that would be so fun!

I saw Jessica's too, and I LOVED them! But I adore them with prints, too! So cute! And I love the enchanted forest idea! Although, I just can't think of a single idea for you.
( Sorry!

You need a house with a smoking chimney and some little people playing, and snowflakes hanging from above.
So very cute, good job!

I saw these houses and deer yesterday, and fell in love… I think they'd all work together!

I have more pics of the deer (sides, belly, etc) if you want to make one… or I'm planning to make a version of the pattern tonight and will post it tomorrow.

The Crafty Crow is hosting an ornament exchange and the theme is "fairy" – you should check out the Flickr group to see if there are any images there that inspire your imagination, as I think fairy related things could totally go!!
I made these ones -http://paulsbride.blogspot.com/2009/12/homemade-ornaments.html – but they're a bit too big to go with the trees

The green/pink red/blue and blue/white ones would be especially cute. If you want I could send you one. You have inspired me so much with your sewing, it's the least I could do. Also, I got some little deer to go with mine at sunshine crafts website.
