Welcome to the New Me!!
January 18, 2010 12:22 amWelcome to my new site, Madebylex!!! I originally wanted to keep “my mama made it” but sadly someone already had it 
So after lots of review I came to my new domain name. I miss my old one, but I feel a new love for this new name and site. I hope you all like it. I can’t wait to tell you about all the wonderful people that have helped me get here because I don’t have a gift (nor any patience) for all this computer stuff. Anyhow, I’m glad you’re here!
You’ll also notice I two lovely button choices!
So please feel free to grab one and show your love for Made By Lex!!
Next, here is another new creation I’ve done.It’s a giant dupioni silk bow. That just sounds funny. But that’s what it is 
Here I have it on my sister, Clare, on a white T-shirt paired with a plaid skirt (not my own creation).
Now when I made this for myself I thought maybe it was a little overkill. But then I wore it out and, I’m not gonna lie, people raved. So I felt better confirmed in wearing it.
It will soon be up for sale in my shop, ready to buy with or without the shirt.
And, ooooohhh!!!! I’m DYING to show you all the new shirts I’m going to have for sale!! I’ve been working so hard on them, even hand dying them,and making them each unique and one of a kind little pieces of art for your fashion pleasure. Here’s a couple of the ones I did that are already sold, but you can get the idea.

I can totally relate about the name change (love the new one by the way!). I recently changed mine, not because someone already had it, but because I felt it was something that needed to be done. Like you, I was sad to let the old one go, but excited about the launch of the new one.
You are so very talented! I love the new shirts, can’t wait to see them in the shop!

Your new sight is so professional – one of the best I’ve seen. I don’t normally read posts from the site but from my “Favorite Reader list”. I do have a comment, however. Would you consider not having the “read More” button. When I read posts I like to read from start to finish. It’s irrating to get into the story and have to click to read more, and then wait for the “more page” to download. Please note this is not a criticism as I love your blog, just a suggestion, and who knows, I may be the only one who feels this way. Love the bow, btw.

I love your new site! you have inspired me so much, I’m excited to follow along. Several months ago I embellished an old hoodie with inspiration from some of your refashions. I had so many requests for them that I am opening an etsy shop for embellished hoodies! Thank you!
I also prefer reading from start to finish as well. I’m longwinded so I never mind if someone’s post is long!
