Nautical Bib Front Top
March 25, 2010 8:30 amI am totally loving all the nautical themed clothes and accessories right now. I wanted to make something a little more subtle, a little less navy/white and red. So I came up with this top.
Here’s How:
Stitch all the way around the bib…
Easy, right!? The only thing I did after was add some pleats around the bib. It didn’t look complete to me. But I think it looks nice either way! I love cream and grey together!
I like how it’s nautical themed, but won’t ever go out of subtle because it’s not TOO over the top. Like it?

I just tried this tutorial out today with a teal top and white bib. Pleating around the edge, but no buttons. Turned out very well, my only suggestion being to make sure you try on the shirt after you sew the bib on to make sure the two sides match up. Mine didn’t once I put on the shirt…so I had to sneak in an extra pleat on one side.
