Dark (K)night Top

April 1, 2010 6:23 am

This is a top that I designed and did a few months ago.  I worked the fabric in a weaving overlay at the bib front and in an asymmetirical detail in the back. Then I added these side details to cinch the waist without being a full belt. Can you see it in these pictures? No, not at all. But I love the photos so I’m gonna show you the pretty pictures then I’ll do some clear photos of just the top later.

Her face just draws me in on this shot.

I love this stance she’s doing.

Aahh… light!

So, the story behind the name. Our friend has a Porsche that he calls the Black (K)night. And as we were taking a long drive in it, the idea for this top formed in my mind. So it’s named in honor of him.

Nice! I like the side cinch instead of a belt. :)

I can’t wait to see more pics! I also have a tutorial request. Would you be able to do a pants tutorial? I would love to know how to make some linen carpenter pants : )
