Humbled
April 15, 2010 5:34 amA couple weeks ago, I was called by a local paper and asked if they could write an article on me. I was very excited when I got the call and couldn’t wait for the article. Christa Martin came and interviewed me. The interview went wonderfully and I could tell the article was going to portray my heart even more than the fashion things that I do, which was really important to me. The article came out today and I am absolutely, beyond, humbled by the kind words she wrote about me. I felt a little undeserving of it all. I’m still processing it and am so grateful to her for her kindness. And I once again, have to thank EACH OF YOU. I would not be doing this all without your words, support and comments through this past year. Your encouragement has driven me and given me the confidence to keep reaching for bigger and bigger goals. You, honestly, have no idea how much YOU, how much all of this, means to me. I’ll be forever grateful and humbled.

What a beautiful article, Alexis!
I’ve been meaning to send you a note to say I received my shirt and the key necklace from the giveaway and I am THRILLED with them. Every time I wear the tee out people ask me about it and I tell them how cool I think you are!
Unfortunately, my daughter loved the necklace as much as I did and she broke the chain, so I’ll have to find a new one. Such is life, right?

The article is great. I really appreciate the “covered by love” part, as I am currently being a 5 day a week care giver for my grandmother who has end stage cancer. With a 40+ hour work week and caring for her, I have given up on sewing for now. However, I still check here every day for inspiration and to see what you are up to, the story of the blanket really touched me and will be a part in my inspiration for quite some time. Thanks for sharing yourself with all of us.
