Pleated Shoulder Dress

June 7, 2010 8:35 am

This is a dress I made recently. It’s a simple grey knit dress- very form fitting. (Thank God my sister modeled it for me :) )

It has folded/pleated sleeves. I wanted to create some texture, but not have them ruffled or poofy.

I love unexpected things on garments. That’s why I love asymmetry so much. For this dress, I did a plunging scoop in the back with a large zipper.

Close-up…

It was a pretty simple dress to make, maybe coming soon to the shop!

One of my peasant tops was in the window of Stripe this week!

Love the new dress, and I adore the puffy sleeves. And the peasant blouse is gorgeous!

It’s beautiful! The sleeves are gorgeous. I may have to try doing a similar look for a top sometime. (I highly doubt that my final product will look anywhere near that nice, though.)
