Filoli Gardens
September 24, 2011 9:24 amHas anyone ever been to Filoli Gardens?
We got to go last weekend with my grandma. It’s about an hour from our home. If you’re ever close to it- GO! The 36,000 sq ft. house tour is amazing with so many beautiful details.
The gardens are so gorgeous I won’t even try to describe them.
The kids had hours of fun running all around.
I was, personally, so inspired by all the textures.
Anyhow, go. It’s great.
And it’s just fun to say the word “Fiii-looowww-leeee” over and over. It’s such a fancy word that I wish had more meaning so I could use it frequently.

Priorities.
September 15, 2011 5:31 pmI decided to drop out of project run and play. Let me briefly explain…
I just don’t have time to work on specific deadlines right now. I ended up having to work at my girls school this week amongst all my other duties and couldn’t finish this weeks outfit. I’m trying to complete scarf orders and still give my family all the time, attention and love they need and this week, I just couldn’t do that well so I had to prioritize. And as you mamas all know, they’re always first. Sometimes things we really want to do and are interested in take a backburner to our priorities. And this is exactly one of those cases. I knew that some of the other competitors have put so much into this great blog that Micalah runs. So I’m so thrilled because Leisel is back for another chance!! What an honor it’s been to be with such great women with such great ideas. Please go continue to support them! Thank you all for all the support you’ve given me and thank you, mostly, for understanding.

Loungewear Revolution- Jersey Romper
September 13, 2011 9:34 amOn of my favorite things to sleep in is this little jersey romper that I have. Here’s a way to make your own!
Get two T’s.
Cut the first one off. This will be your top piece.
We’ll use the other one for the shirts part. Fold it in half and cut out a piece as shown. Sort of like oversized underwear.
Fold the top over to create a pocket and put elastic through there, too. Also, I forgot to take a picture, but add some straps.

An Easy Way to Add a Pick Up In a Skirt
September 12, 2011 8:44 am
For my skirt part of my Circus outfit I wanted pick ups in the front.
I sort of did a short, cheaters method that I discovered and wanted to share it with you. I had sewn all these strips togehter. I got apiece of yarn and wove it through the serger stitch and tied it on both ends to gather it.
It’s a really easy way to do it. If you don’t have s serger, just do a zig zag stitch.
Have a great week!
