Valentines for Boy’s
February 10, 2010 1:00 pmHere’s my idea for boy’s Valentines.
Cut out 2 pieces of felt in the shape of a football. You could do any ball. I just had lots of brown.
Add little white details for the laces.
Sew around the outside of the felt football, leaving a small opening.
Stuff them with dry beans, rice, or popcorn kernels.
Stitch the opening closed and you have little bean bag balls! I’m going to attach each boy’s name on a heart felt tag, too.

Heart Felt Headbands- A Valentines Gift
February 8, 2010 2:56 pmThis year for Valentines Day I wanted to do something for Isabel’s classmates that they could actually use, but that wouldn’t take much time or money. There are only 12 kids in her class, 3 girls and 9 boys! So I decided to do “heart-felt” (get it?) headbands for the girls. They are easy enough to do for a big class, too.
Start out by cutting some heart shaped felt.
Here are some of the colors I chose.
Get a strip of felt, about 1.5×3.
Begin glueing your hearts on the strip of felt.
You can layer them however you like.
Here’s how mine came out.
I did these three color palettes.

Now, hot glue the strip in to the headband. (Got a 5 pack at the dollar tree!)
And you’re pretty much all done!
Aren’t they lovely?!
They even look cute on a little baldy!
I just added a little tag with the girls’ initial and you’re all set!
Easy, cheap, fast and fun! And it doesn’t include a sugar rush!!
Stay tuned for the boys felt Valentine’s tutorial coming soon!!

Felt Matryoshka Family Dolls
January 29, 2010 7:35 amFor Christmas, I have the girls give each other something. They normally pick out something tiny at the store or make each other something. But this year I decide to help them make a family of felt Matryoshka dolls. There was one for each of us in the family.
I’ve never done much embroidering, and this is very basic, but it was fun to work on a craft project for Christmas and have the girls help out. This one is me…

…my husband..
…and Giselle.
They felt so proud giving them to one another on Christmas morning. I mounted them on a canvas covered in white felt and they are hanging in our play room right now with heart felt garland. Funny, Rae and I must have seen these in the same spot because I made them for Christmas then she recently did a post on some, so go HERE to check out the DIY.

Aren’t they sweet??
I have to say THANK YOU for all the support of my Etsy store in the past few days! I’m beyond grateful. I’m posting this shirt, although it sold already, just to get everyone’s feed back. I’m going to be doing a giveaway soon so I’d love to hear which ones are your favorite so I can pick the most popular shirt to giveaway. This one is a light brown with pink cascading down the front.
MORE SHIRT TO COME LATER!
