The Aria Dress

Last week I showed you this post of the beginning stages of a dress I had made. Here is the completed product, The Aria Dress.

I really wanted to capture the movement of this dress in the photo shoot.


I gotta say, my sister rocked that shoot! I was so impressed with her!

Here are some plain old closeups of the dress. I made this out of white, soft jersey than hand painted it with tea. I wanted it to have a barely there color.

It also has pockets.

The top has a slimming middle detail with rouching at the bodice.

The back has this detail.

I. Love. This. Dress.

A dress in the works

I’m so excited to show you a dress that I made that began with this sketch.

Then I taped if off on my form…

…cut a muslin pattern…

…then made one of my favorite garments yet. Photos coming soon!
