Round 1 Halloween Costumes: Alice
October 30, 2010 3:29 pmI was never that into Halloween. But last year I loved the challenge of creating a costume and trying to replicate the original to a T. So this year, despite my best efforts in persuading her to let me make her a Scarlett Ohara costume, Isabel decided to be Alice. This picture was my inspiration:
And here is MY Alice.
I love this plain blue cotton dress with the coordinating apron.
I tried to nail it down to the puffy apron sleeve and the simple black headband.
I used a petticoat I had made for a birthday dress a while back.
Someone call Disneyland. Alice has escaped. (But, seriously. How much does this kid look like Alice?!)
And she loves it.
November 1st begins a year long brainwashing as to why Bel should be Scarlett Ohara next year.
I haven’t gotten to take pictures of the other girls yet so those will probably come after HAlloween. But here’s a hint: A hidden princess and a child star….
