Crochet Trim and Harts Winner!
April 12, 2010 12:28 pmI have ALWAYS loved crochet and lacey trims on tops. I think they are so feminine and can make a t-shirt so much more exciting.

…adn this crochet pillowcase.
I cut off a strip and sewed it on to this t-shirt. Isn’t it lovely?
All you do is pin it and stitch it directly on!
THEN!! I went in to Harts this week and found this!
They are selling an array of crochet bibs This was only $5! Think about this on a T! I don’t think they are on the website but if you call them I’m sure they can ship one to you! How beautiful is that?

But did you know they are MY local fabric store? I really like to support as many local business as I can and I’m so pleased that I can call Harts my hometown fabric store. I thought I’d give you all an inside look at Harts Fabric In Santa Cruz, CA
The thing I love about Harts is that they carry the latest fashionable fabrics. I can go in there and know that whatever I’m seeing in fashion lately, I can get at Harts. I’ve often noticed trends start there and then start seeing them in stores and on the runway months later. Matt, the owner, and his staff have a great eye for acquiring the best selections. They carry gorgeous cotton prints,
a crazy oilcloth and vinyl selection,and a huge room of home dec fabrics, too.
Just look at their home page to see all the different kinds of fabric they carry!
And another thing, they have the BEST staff there. The girls that work there are always so helpful, knowledgeable and have a wonderful eye for design. They help me every time!
Hart’s fabric aslo has a great blog and a helpful fabric 101 page . I’m going to be showing you some of my favorite fabrics from there and different ways to use them.

I’m lucky to have them locally. But I’ve done lots of looking around at other online fabric store and I think their layout and pictures of the fabrics are the best around.
